Step: In Rivervale, complete the Honey Jum Quest and receive Honey Jum.

Step: In North Qeynos, give the honey jum to Astaed Wemor and receive Prime Healer Potion [identifies as Potion of Disease Warding].

Step: Note: you need good faction with Astaed Wemor or he will keep the honey jum and give nothing. (Warning: Amiable faction is required (wolf form seems to work). You will recieve dialogue for the quest down to apprehensive, but not dubious, but if you are indifferent or apprehensive, your Honey Jum will be eaten.)

Step: In West Karana, give the potion to Lempeck Hargrin and receive a LORE/NODROP Rusty Scythe.

NOTE: Sometimes he goes crazy and attacks you at this point. This is most likely related to the potion you give him. The potion that identifies as "Potion of Disease Warding" is the one you want. If it identifies as "Ochre Potion Disease Ward" or anything else, you'll get attacked.

Bring the LORE/NODROP Rusty Scythe back to Astaed for the final turn in:

Astaed Wemor says 'It is good to know that we saved Lempeck. He has given us his scythe as a donation to the temple. We shall find a use for it. As for your fine work at preserving the life of another, I reward you with the Shining Star of Life. Should you ever desire more strength in battle, call upon it to give you strength, but let it be known that at battle's end, you shall feel weaker than before you called upon the power. Just for a short time. When the power is drained, go to our temple storehouse and ask Whysia to [recharge the Shining Star of Life]. Go and serve life.'
