Muffin Quests

• There are two different types of Muffin quests outlined below. The first two quests involve buying Vendor sold Muffins in infinite supply and handing them directly to NPC. The second kind involves Baking them and combining into a Muffin Crate.

• This type of quest requires using 'Baked Muffins' (and not bought) for the 'Fresh Baked Muffins' series of quest listed below.

• Please Note: that baked Muffin will look exactly like the vendor sold kind. Even identify spell does not distinguish the two but one will combine in the muffin crate and the vendor sold kind will not. So they are in fact two different item IDs

Only Gretta Mottle in Kaladim will still respond to acquire Muffin Crate to initiate this quest, but the Full Muffin Crate can still be handed in to any of the Innkeepers related to the Bread Shipment quests listed below.

Because of flour bein' easily spoiled now, it takes longer to make 'em just right. My assistant Buggle is still learnin cow to cook. Hehe.. All he can make is Meat Pie. If I don't get any [help to bake] soon I won't be able to keep the supply up with the demand.'

You say, 'I will help to bake'

Gretta Mottle says, 'Glad to hear it. Are ye thinkin' of helpin' me to [bake muffins] or did ye want to [fetch some bread] for me?'

Gretta Mottle says, 'Ah, if ye want to help me with the bakin', take this Muffin Crate, fill it up with some of your freshly baked Muffins, then seal them in so they won't become stale. I sure hope you can make 'em good enough.'

You say, 'I am a baker'

Karn Tassen says 'Well good! Maybe you can help me restock. If you are a baker you could help me out by restocking my [muffin supply]. Or if you don't mind a little travel, you can pick up a [shipment of bread] for me.

You say, 'what muffin supply ?'

Karn Tassen says 'Thanks, you're a pal. Take this crate and fill it with muffins, then seal it up and bring the Full Muffin Crate back to me. Don't go trying to pass off that store-bought stuff on me either, I need fresh baked muffins. The ones in the stores are already too old and will get moldy too fast, so I don't want those.'

You bake 10 muffins (135 baking skill, need some pottery and smithing too) and you combine them in the crate.

Voleen Tassen says 'A free lance baker, well that is nice. Here. Take this crate and make some of your muffins. Bring the Full Muffin Crate back to me when you are done. I'll pay you the same as we pay our regular suppliers. Make sure you bake them fresh yourself, we only sell quality muffins here.

A poor harvest and damaged crops are leaving some merchants short of cretain baked goods. Karn Tassen, local merchant, had this to say about the food shortage.

"It is hard enough to scrape by and make enough money to pay your taxes in this town. Now with this blasted plague affecting everything, I'm starting to run out of stock. It's a mess I tell you."

A call has gone to independant bakers to assist our local merchants and those abroad in keeping their supplies properly stocked.
