Alternate way of getting the note: After some time, Mojax Hikspin will walk around the Commonlands. If you follow him, he will walk from the lake to the Stone Sign saying "Freeport <-", stop, then walk north again to his spot. He drops the note at (-560, 3174) at the Stone marker.
