Roesager Thusten says 'Bertoxxulous is a vile creature who rules the Plane of Disease. His filthy followers are spreading their stain across all of Norrath. We fear they are already here in Qeynos.'

You say, 'What Plaguebringers?'

Roesager Thusten says 'The Plaguebringers are followers of the disease lord, Bertoxxulous. We believe a sect of them now operates in Qeynos, but we need proof before we can act.'

You say, 'What proof?'

Roesager Thusten says 'Someone reported seeing a Plaguebringer roaming about in the hills near Qeynos. We have long suspected that their dark influence was spreading. I am searching for proof that they are now here in Qeynos. If you find anything, please bring it to me at the Temple of Life.'

Gharin says 'Good day! I see they have good stock for the future armies of Qeynos. I, myself, wish to be a soldier one day instead of doing this [job].'

Gharin says 'I am a [messenger] for Antonius Bayle. Not big enough to fight, but light enough to run all the way to the [Jaggedpine] tomorrow morning. I sort of wish I did not have to go. I'd rather be at the Lion's Mane.'

You say, 'Where is the Jaggedpine?'

Gharin says 'I will be taking a private note to the head druid of the Jaggedpine Treefolk. Matter of fact, I am carrying the note right now. But enough about that, if it were not for the mission tomorrow, I could be doing something at the [Lion's Mane].'

You say, 'What is the Lion's Mane?'

Gharin says 'Ahh. The Lion's Mane. If I were there, I would be enjoying a stein of Crow's [special brew]. They are expecting their first shipment of the brew. I believe if I had a few or more of those lagers, I would be very ill. I would probably have to have someone else deliver the note for me. Still, I wish I had one of those fine brews.'

Note: There are two kinds of Crow's Special Brew in the game. Crow's Special Brew with an ' Apostrophe in the name that comes from Tattered Pouch quest will not be accepted by Gharin. The correct kind Crows Special Brew is purchased from Crow himself but this is a limited supply item (20). Once he sells out, its all gone until a server restart or respawned by killing him.

Go to Qeynos Hills at loc and wait until 9PM Norrath time for Tovax Vmar to spawn. He then wanders to a few spots, stands there for a short time and randomly or rarely will drop the letter on the ground (looks like small bag)

This Escort part is challenging because he wanders across the newbie area past 2 potential Qeynos Gaurds and another NPC. He is very low level and will get killed immediately by any of them, not to mention real players.

I suggest either killing the guards in Tovax's path or asking someone to kite them or root them far out of the way the entire night until until he drops it, as well as asking players in /ooc to avoid Tovax while you do the quest

(For me, I had to wait for Tovax to complete one of his pathing rotations and on the 2nd stop at the tree ( loc 200, -1000) at 4AM game time he dropped the Sealed Letter just before wandering off again)

If you don't pick up the note, it will despawn.

The note is called "A Sealed Letter" (identifies as "A Letter to Opal"). It reads:

Opal-- Things are moving ahead on schedule. The sewer complex is complete and we have begun to gather forces.

We are concerned about the Lifers' interference. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
